Playa Lancheros is one of the best places to eat seafood on Isla Mujeres. Of course, it has beautiful blue waters and perfect white sands, too. But, that's not what sets Playa Lancheros apart; what does is the "tikin xic," a local dish that simply must be tasted to be believed. Also available are fresh lobster, ceviche, and fresh fish from the day's catch. Swimming here is also fun, as sea pens hold nurse sharks and sea turtles to be viewed. Be sure to wait 40 minutes after wading into the water, because you are almost sure to stuff yourself silly at the beachside restaurant. While you're waiting, sit under a palapa with a Caribbean drink, and simply relish the perfect weather.
