Description:

This sandy, open beach is four miles south of downtown San Miguel. As a result, it has become a popular spot for cruise ship visitors and tourists. Water sports and other amenities attract huge crowds especially during high season. Beach chairs and umbrellas, along with snorkeling equipment are available for rental. There is also a gift shop, a bar and two restaurants. Sundays the locals take over and fill the beach with music and volleyball games. Playa San Francisco is also the jumping off point for divers exploring the San Francisco Reef and the Santa Rosa wall.
